AWX have been working with various Glencore entities (including Mount Isa Mines) and sites for over a decade. Since 2007, AWX has been a preferred supplier of labour and workforce solutions to Glencore, with our focus on Glencore’s Operations within North QLD. AWX have supported Glencore’s business units by supplementing short term and long-term labour requirements from the surface operations to all underground areas. AWX have been able to respond to every request and currently supply labour including (but not limited to):

• Administrative Office staff • Trainer & Assessors • Cleaners • Labourers • Metallurgical attendants • Fixed & Mobile Plant Operators • All trade requirements (Long term & shutdowns) • Engineers • Various underground personnel • Supervisors (Surface & Underground)

We have made it our mission to understand and align with the flexible business needs of Glencore and have been able to supply short and long term solutions. AWX back this service up with the assistance of man management principles that align with those of Glencore and Mount Isa Mines.

Our service level has been seen as exemplary, to the point that Glencore chose to transition existing casual employees in the Clean In/Clean out Laundry Facility from another Labour Hire provider to AWX for us to manage. We make it so that our casual employees are working in with Glencore staff daily and have had ongoing employees working directly for Glencore for over two years running.

Since the start of 2016, AWX has had to meet several needs of Glencore and has increased our ongoing workforce on site from 73 in January 2016 to 309 today, not including short term shutdown requirements on a regular basis. This workforce is a permanent workforce working alongside Glencore permanent staff. Our service levels are consistent and communication between our staff and Glencore staff is of a very high standard, allowing us to react to the needs of site requirements. At times we have been able to move part of the AWX workforce to other areas of the mine to assist with peak workloads then return staff to the original work areas in a seamless manner allowing Glencore to achieve their goals without employing extra staff.

We endeavour to be true partners to our clients and strive to integrate our staff to be a true extension of your company, not just casual labour.
