Work in partnership with your team leader to agreed performance standards and mutual expectations. Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential within Council.
Manage end-to-end production of visual content for Council's projects and initiatives including conceptualisation, creative direction and location and talent management, for use across a range of digital marketing channels and formats.
Plan and undertake visual content production requirements and make editorial decisions to align with Council's brand and story vision.
Ensure best practice standards are applied to all visual content in line with industry standards and Council requirements, including broadcast regulations, such as copyright to ensure compliance.
Work in partnership and provide specialist guidance to branch teams, business units and program areas on production of visual content.
Create and present solutions to stakeholders, customers and staff, and gain endorsement where appropriate.
Establish and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective liaison regarding visual content production.
Actively innovate and improve strategies, processes, systems and procedures relating to production.
Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
Strong technical expertise in video production incorporating all facets from lighting, composition, framing and audio recording through to creative execution.
Strategic and creative storyteller with high attention to detail and more than 5+ years' experience as a videographer (inhouse, agency or a combination).
Demonstrated understanding of developing brand content and inspired creative assets as well as good knowledge of social, traditional and digital media.
Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills to develop strategies for improvements to processes or services.
Well-developed customer service, verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build partnerships, advise, liaise and present to customers and stakeholders.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to prepare plans, content briefs and presentations tailored to different audiences.
Demonstrated organisation skills to effectively manage delivery of creative solutions from conceptual planning to end product.
High level of proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, intermediate knowledge of Adobe After Effects. Proficiency in Adobe Light-room, Illustrator and Photoshop highly regarded.
Confident self-starter and innovator, with ability to work autonomously, taking initiative and following through with concurrent projects.
Continuous learner, on top of current and future advances in multimedia trends and techniques production technology.
Photography and post production experience would be advantageous
Familiarity with broadcast regulations such as copyright and content compliance.
Must pass a criminal history check.
