About the role

The role of Warehouse Counter Sales / Forklift Operator representative is to support the site and sales team. The role is required to provide a high level of customer service, develop relationships with customers, provide accurate business information whilst following company management procedures and directives and convert walk in and telephone inquiries to Sales. The incumbent will also be responsible for the loading & unloading of goods when required to do so for the warehouse or concrete products in the yard.

Tasks

  • Assist to achieve Individual Sales budget where set and the overall company budget of Concrete, Ferrous and Civil Warehouse Sales
  • Sell Standard and made to order products including "Civil Warehouse Sales" Items
  • Provide quotes and complete sales orders as per agreed pricing structure and arrange delivery dates and other matters as required to finalise sales
  • Follow up sales orders placed by Sales representatives
  • Liaise with finance, production and distribution staff to provide internal support for Sales representatives
  • Organise for the purchase of any non-stocked items where required for particular sales orders
  • Carry out counter sales as required
  • Create work instruction for any "made to order" items which require manufacture
  • Ordering Warehouse stock, perform stocktakes and maintaining stock levels
  • Cleaning and dusting Warehouse and products
  • Forklift operation and completion of daily safety checklist
  • Weekly cleaning of filters (All Forklifts)
  • Main forklift operator from 2pm to 5pm
  • Answer customer telephone and email enquiries, orders, service and technical needs and address complaints in conjunction with the Sales team
  • Develop professional Sales relationships with customers
  • Report any serious customer situations to the Manager
  • Solve simple customer problems and analyse their needs
  • Learn and expand to ensure detailed knowledge of the company's products
  • Other duties as required/instructed

Licences

All employees must hold a current and unrestricted drivers licence if required for the role. Ability to travel and work from other locations within Australia if required and hold the appropriate Forklift licence to undertake your role.

Quals

  • Experience working in a Sales role in a similar or likeminded organisation is preferred but not mandatory
  • Current forklift licence is required on commencement for this role is mandatory
