About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst (AO6) to join a State Government department on a temporary full-time contract through to the end of February 2026, with the possibility of extension.
As part of the Digital Solutions and Information team, you will play a key role in the rollout of new systems and digital initiatives, including:
- Data migration of key databases
- Uplift and enhancement of applications
- Continued development of commercial and recreational apps
- Supporting the implementation of Independent Onboard Monitoring
- Contributing to cross-directorate systems such as compliance management and reporting applications
Key Responsibilities:
- Document business requirements, facilitate design workshops, and develop test plans for database modernisation and migration
- Support and coordinate the delivery of specialised technical solutions that meet organisational needs
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are fit-for-purpose
- Analyse “As-Is” and “To-Be” business process models using approved methods and tools
- Organise and maintain documentation throughout development, review, and approval processes
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement, testing, and training material development
- Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Knowledge and experience in the Information Technology industry relevant to the services described
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis within projects or programs
- Experience working with government organisations (preferred, but not essential)
