AWX are currently recruiting for an Australian owned company specialising in asphalt production, road surfacing, and maintenance. With over 30 years' experience, they deliver quality, sustainable solutions for projects of all sizes, from highways to local roads, using ISO-certified practices and modern equipment. What you'll do
Within this role as a general labourer you will be required to complete tasks such as shovelling, brooming, unloading gear and various other tasks. During this time you must be willing to work away 1-2 weeks at a time with a living away from home allowance paid. You will love the stability of consistent hours working Monday to Friday as well as plenty of overtime and weekend hours available. You will carry out duties such as:
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sweeping, brooming, and shovelling
- Spread, rake, and compact asphalt under supervision of experienced operators
- Communicate and work effectively within a team
- Be willing to work away from home 1-2 weeks at a time
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
What you'll need
Within this role you will be required to have at least 1 years experience as a general labourer. You will also be required to possess the following:

Hold a current construction white card
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards
- Be physical fit and hold stamina for lifting, standing, bending, and working outdoors
- The understanding of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- The ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Complete drug and alcohol testing
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform manual labour
