AWX are sourcing a Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter

The role is Day Shift, Monday to Friday with potential for overtime as required
Temp to Perm opportunity
Forklift licence is essential
Welding/Oxy cutting skills
Good understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
Sound safety background

On the job training for specific equipment will be provided

No pre-existing health concerns of conditions that could impact their ability to carry out all aspects of the job

The Fitter is responsible for the overall maintenance and day to day upkeep of all site plant & equipment associated with the production and manufacturing of
Steel Strapping Products
Seal Manufacture
Splitting Line
Angleboard Operations
Coordinating its activities and ensuring its smooth operation.
The Fitter will be trained in several key operator positions in order to cover operations personnel during times of labour shortages or emergencies.
It is therefore essential that the Fitter can work within a team environment.

Rates
Day Shift $50 plus penalties

Requirements
Trade Certificate
Current Drivers licence
Forklift licence is required
Reliable Vehicle
Ability to pass drug & alcohol screening
