About our client
Our client is a provider of high quality wholesale products for the building industry.
This is a busy distribution centre with lots of different avenues for point of sale.
There are walk in customers, on-line orders and bulk distribution all under one roof.
What you'll do
Working alongside a team in their busy distribution centre, you will be using iPads to select and pack customer orders.
- Inspecting picked items for damages or defects before packing them.
- Arranging items to maximize space efficiency and ensuring that fragile items are properly protected.
- Affixing shipping labels and ensuring that all necessary documentation, such as packing slips or invoices.
- Prepare orders for despatch according to customer requirements.
- Pick, pack, and label goods accurately.
- Generate and process shipping documentation (e.g. delivery notes, invoices, courier labels).
- Contact customers regarding pick up orders
- Maintain accurate stock records and update systems accordingly.
- Ensure despatch area is kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Conduct final checks on items before shipping to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Picker/packer with dispatch experience preferably in a busy distribution centre
The shifts
- Morning Shift 04:00am 12:00pm Monday to Friday
- Day shift 09:00am -17:00pm Monday to Friday
- Afternoon shift 15:00pm 23:00pm Monday to Thursday
What you'll need
- Full availability to work 38hrs a week, 8hr shifts (for morning and day shift)
- Available for work Monday to Thursday on night shift
- Own transport- public transport is limited in the area.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to read and action an electronic pick slip.
