AWX are currently recruiting for a security, communications and electrical company that provides professional installation and maintenance services. They service the Illawarra region and surrounding areas, offering solutions such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, sensor lighting, and data network installations. Fully licensed and insured they focus on delivering reliable, high-quality work to ensure the safety, connectivity, and efficiency of residential and commercial properties. If you're a skilled labourer with basic cabling experience wanting to work for a reputable company then this could be the perfect role for you!
What you'll do
Within this role as a skilled labourer you will work along side a team to assist running and securing cables. During this time you will love the stability of consistent hours working Monday to Friday as well as a working away from home allowance. You will carry out duties such as:
- Running and pulling electrical and data cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits
- Using hand and power tools to drill, cut, and secure fittings or components
- Performing general site preparation and clean-up duties
- Safely handling materials, tools, and equipment
- Following safety procedures and ensuring worksites remain compliant and tidy
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and hardware for daily jobs
What you'll need
Whilst holding a valid Australian driver's license and possessing a reliable car to get you to and from the job site, you will also hold the following:
- Manual handling certificate
- Asbestos awareness certificate
- Silica awareness certificate
- Drug and alcohol awareness certificate
- White Card
- EWP under 11m (desirable)
- Basic experience running cabling (desirable)
