About Our Client
Our client is a local government organisation focused on maintaining safe, attractive and functional public spaces. Their Parks team supports the upkeep of recreational areas, ensuring they remain clean, accessible and well-presented for the community.
What You'll Do
- General labouring tasks including shovelling, raking, brooming and manual handling
- Work with dirt, gravel, mulch and other loose materials
- Use tools such as picks and crowbars
- Lift and carry loads, including up to chest height
- Enter and exit trenches and climb ladders as required
- Assist with general park and garden upkeep across various sites
- Follow safety procedures and contribute to a positive team environment
What You'll Need
- A current Queensland manual driver's licence (C class)
- MR truck licence is helpful, but not essential
- White Card, or willingness to get one
- Ability to use basic tools and equipment safely
- Ability to lift, carry and do physical outdoor work
- Willingness to gain any extra tickets needed for the role (such as traffic control, first aid, chainsaw or chemical handling)
- Ability to work well in a team and follow safety procedure
