We are seeking a Plant Engineer to ensure our production facility runs at peak efficiency. In this critical role, you will maintain the reliability of plant equipment, lead maintenance planning, and manage technical projects that support our commitment to safety, quality and innovation.
You will work closely with the Production Supervisor, Electrician and Maintenance Technicians to minimise downtime and optimise performance, ensuring we consistently meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and control system faults.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with production demands to minimize disruptions.
- Manage engineering projects, including equipment upgrades and new installations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Tertiary qualification or trade certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience in plastic packaging, injection moulding, extrusion, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery and automation systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
