About the Role
Our client, a global leader in specialty chemical solutions, is seeking a technically minded and customer focused Account Manager to support key clients in the Paper industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-priority customer sites, combining strategic account management with on-site technical servicing. You will work closely with operations staff and decision-makers to optimise chemical application, troubleshoot equipment performance, and ensure the continued success and retention of key partnerships.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable being hands-on in a manufacturing environment, and can communicate effectively across all levels—from operators to senior executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with client needs and business targets
  • Monitor, analyse, and optimise chemical usage on-site
  • Conduct regular sampling, testing, and data analysis to support performance outcomes
  • Manage inventory and oversee safe chemical handling and transfer procedures
  • Perform equipment inspections, calibrations, and minor servicing
  • Support product trials, new equipment commissioning/decommissioning, and technical projects
  • Maintain accurate reporting and provide regular insights to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Build strong, trusted relationships to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention
The Candidate 
  • Degree in Chemistry, or a related Science discipline (preferred)
  • Experience in the Paper industry or working with paper machines is highly desirable
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments and able to use mechanical/technical skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with a focus on delivering value to clients
  • Excellent communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willing and able to travel regularly throughout the Sydney area
  • Committed to high standards of safety and quality service delivery
