About the opportunity
AWX is now recruiting multiple experienced operators to join the Ensham Mine Rehabilitation Project near Emerald, QLD. This is a large-scale rehab program spanning 250Ha, delivered by a highly respected contractor.
We're hiring for the following machines:
• 930 Loader / Tractor with Spreader
• 120T Excavator
• 14M & 150M Graders
• HR Service Truck
• HR Water Cart
This is a DIDO project, with camp accommodation and meals provided. While ideally suited to those based in Central Queensland, operators from other regions are welcome to apply. The roster starts as 7/7 Day Shift, with a rotating roster to follow.
Camp accommodation, meals, and fatigue management support are provided. Operators can choose between a fixed-term contract with entitlements or a casual arrangement - depending on what works for you.
What you'll do

• Operate relevant plant (e.g., 930 Loader, 120T Excavator, 14M or 150M Grader, HR Water Cart, or HR Service Truck
• Carry out rehab shaping, clean-up, water management, and material movement tasks
• Complete daily pre-starts and equipment checks
• Work with supervisors and follow site HSE protocols




What You'll Need (and How to Get Started)

• Minimum 12 months' experience on relevant machine in a civil, mining or rehab setting
• RII or signed skills list (within 5 years)
• Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain
• Valid Australian Drivers Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment functional (incl. step test)
• Clean-shaven for site compliance
AWX will support you through onboarding, inductions, and mobilisation.
