The Role

We are seeking a strategic, customer‑focused Business Development Manager to join a global organisation recognised for innovation, service excellence, and market leadership across the Healthcare, Retail, BSC, Food Service and Hospitality sectors.

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business acquisition and expanding key customer relationships across Australia. You will lead strategic sales plans, engage with major accounts, deliver tender proposals, and collaborate with internal specialists to build strong value propositions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development plans across multiple sectors
  • Drive sales growth through research, planning, and active acquisition
  • Build rapport with key customers and decision makers
  • Support marketing initiatives and new product launches (NPU’s)
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Lead tender submissions and presentations
  • Plan weekly, monthly, and annual activities to maximise customer engagement
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting through CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Deliver monthly performance updates, KPIs, and forecasts
  • Work closely with engineering, application specialists, and cross‑functional teams
  • Align activities with business strategy and operational plans
  • Ensure adherence to company policies including health & safety, expenses, and car policy
The Candidate
  • Business development experience with proven success securing major accounts, especially in healthcare, hygiene, cleaning, or hospitality sectors
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data, develop budgets, and manage P&L impacts
  • High level of strategic planning and analytical capability
  • CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a positive, energetic attitude
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
  • Valid driver’s licence
