We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Asphalt labourers to join our client AusTek for Road Asphalt Projects based out of Yatala.
Work will consist of :
You will be experienced in Civil Construction. Within this role you will join the crew based out of Yatala.
- Clearing debris, rocks, vegetation, and old pavement
- Setting up cones, signs, and barriers for traffic control
- Helping prepare the ground base (grading, raking, shoveling)
- Shoveling, raking, and spreading hot asphalt
- Guiding the flow of asphalt from the paver
- Adding or removing asphalt to achieve the correct grade and smoothness
- Working alongside machine operators, including paver and roller operators
These roles will be working roughly 10-12hour days from 6am to 4/6pm or a 4 Night week (Sunday to Thursday)
There will be potential to work some weekends or Travel away as required (overtime on a as needed basis), penalties and allowances paid where applicable.
Requirements
• MUST be able to complete a pre-employment involving functional assessment + drug/ Alcohol screening.
• Civil Construction or Roads(asphalt) experience
• White Card
• Own transport
• Ability to Identify hazards.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills
• Professional presentation and positive attitude
