We are seeking multiple Design Managers for a 6‑month contract to support capital works across Water Civil, Minor & Regional Portfolios. Projects may include earth bank storages, tanks, and broader asset renewal programs.
This role is ideal for confident communicators who can lead technical teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver high‑quality engineering design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary design teams across major water and civil infrastructure projects.
- Drive safe design practices and ensure all work meets required standards.
- Develop design delivery plans, manage milestones, risks, and reporting.
- Influence and engage stakeholders to support effective decision-making.
- Oversee technical reviews, documentation quality, and delivery performance.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement across design processes.
About You
- Bachelor of Engineering (essential).
- Strong background in design management or engineering design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven leadership capability with an ability to challenge and guide technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with tanks, earth bank storages, or asset renewals highly regarded.
- Strong technical writing and reporting experience.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to meet medical and background check requirements.
- Full-time, 6‑month contract based in Adelaide.
