AWX is seeking a motivated and practical Facilities Assistant in Logan to support the maintenance, inspection and improvement of community parks and facilities across the Logan region.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in facilities, asset maintenance, parks operations or civil works who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to well-presented community spaces.
About the Role
You will assist with:
- Inspecting parks facilities, playgrounds and amenities for safety, compliance and condition
- Coordinating minor maintenance and installation works
- Liaising with contractors and internal teams
- Responding to customer enquiries
- Supporting asset management, reporting and record keeping
- Contributing to forward planning and resource scheduling
About You
You will bring:
- Experience in facilities, parks, asset maintenance or similar field-based roles
- Knowledge of workplace health & safety practices
- Ability to work with contractors and stakeholders
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Sound computer skills (GIS or asset systems highly regarded)
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Playground inspection accreditation or willingness to obtain is highly desirable.
