Our client has secured multiple large-scale, long-term projects across Australia and is seeking an experienced and motivated Geotechnical Driller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
This is a hands-on field position responsible for a wide range of geotechnical drilling tasks across civil, infrastructure, mining, and environmental project sites.
The ideal candidate is someone who is confident operating drilling equipment, managing core samples, and working safely and efficiently in various site conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out coring and HQ-size drilling.
- Operate portable and standard drilling rigs.
- Perform auger, mud, air, and washbore drilling.
- Set up drill sites and collar boreholes accurately.
- Join drill rods and manage drilling strings.
- Handle core samples and assist with basic core logging.
- Complete SPT and general geotechnical sampling.
- Follow all site safety procedures and daily pre-start checks.
- Strong hands-on drilling experience (geotechnical or exploration).
- Confident with HQ-size coring and core recovery.
- Ability to operate portable and standard drilling rigs.
- Experience across multiple drilling methods.
- Core logging experience, or willingness to learn quickly.

- Physically fit, reliable, and committed to safe work practices.
- Cert III or IV in Drilling Operations.
- Geotechnical engineering background (degree or practical exposure).
