Our client, based in Lidcombe, specialises in creating and producing fresh ingredients, ready-to-eat salads, and convenience foods. They proudly supply major retailers we all know and love.
Role Overview
- Shift Options: Morning and afternoon shifts available
- Environment: Chilled workroom (1-4°C)
- Roster: 4-5 days, Monday to Saturday, with extra shifts available
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 5-20 kg, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation & Portioning: Measure, portion, and seal ingredients to maintain freshness
- Labelling & Sorting: Accurately label products, ensure quality, and remove damaged stock
- Knife Handling & Machine Operation: Operate labelling machines, vegetable cutters, and cryovac equipment; trim and sort vegetables with precision
- Palletising & Packing: Pack finished products and prepare for dispatch
- Tray Washing: Wash trays in a wet area involving some heavy lifting
What We're Looking For
- Work Rights: Australian birth certificate or passport required
- Transport: Own reliable transport required (limited public transport)
- Experience: Minimum 12 months in food production, packing, or manufacturing
- GMP Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards
- PPE Compliance: Willingness to wear provided protective gear (jackets, gumboots, etc.)
- Availability: Flexibility to work 4-5 shifts per week, up to 40 hours
