AWX Mount Isa are seeking candidates to fulfil Underground Service Crew roles with our client at a mine site.
Roster:
- Rotating roster of 8 days on, 6 days off and then 7 nights on, 7 days off
- Accommodation and meals provided
- We encourage Mount Isa and Cloncurry locals to apply
- Possibility of FIFO Townsville or Cairns for right candidates
Wage:
- starting $46.70p/h flat rate
Requirements:
- Open manual drivers licence essential
- Must be able to pass low risk medical, JTE and site training
- Ability to pass police and explosives clearance
- Queensland Explosives Security Card
- Good attitude and work ethic
- Knowledge of underground mining practices and procedures
- Previous Underground Service crew experience
- IT/Telehandler ticket or experience desirable
Daily Duties:
- Perform operational tasks involving ventilation, water, power, ground support, and compressed air
- Assisting with maintenance of mine infrastructure
- Conduct pre-starts on vehicles
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment
- Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with supervisors and other team members
