ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Backhoe Operator to join the team at the Merrimac Waste Treatment Plant. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity with consistent hours and excellent pay.
As part of a close-knit operations team, you'll play a key role in the daily functioning of a critical waste treatment facility helping to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
DUTIES
- Operating backhoe equipment for site maintenance and material handling.
- Conducting prestart checks and reporting issues.
- Following all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience operating a backhoe
- Relevant plant/machine operating ticket (e.g., RIIMPO319E or equivalent)
- Construction White Card
- Safety and compliance conscious.
- Reliable individual able to work autonomously or as part of a team
