About the role

AWX are seeking experienced Boilermakers and Fitters for upcoming shutdowns across major Illawarra-based industrial and coal asset infrastructure. These roles will see you working on fixed plant, conveyors, and structural maintenance across key local sites. Immediate starts available with potential for consistent shutdown deployment across multiple clients.


What you'll do

- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Conveyor maintenance (idler and pulley change-outs, bearings)
- Pipework and fabrication
- Welding, oxy-cutting and mechanical overhauls
- Working in small teams to deliver time-critical shutdown scopes


What you'll need

- Trade Certificate in Fabrication or Mechanical (Cert III)
- Proven shutdown or heavy industry experience
- Confined Space & Working at Heights (within 2 years), White Card
- EWP (Desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
