The role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Coordinator to join a dynamic government department, providing HR support across multiple sites.
This is a full-time temporary role for 12 months, commencing in early July, with the possibility of extension for another 12 months.
The position is based in Brisbane CBD, with flexible working arrangements considered based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely HR advice in line with relevant legislation and departmental policies.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Support the development and review of role descriptions to meet business needs.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with workforce management policies and procedures.
- Build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders to deliver excellent HR service.
- Maintain and monitor establishment data and HR records in relevant systems.
- Ensure accurate completion and documentation of HR processes.
- Offer policy guidance to staff and respond to HR-related queries.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and business practices.
- Collaborate on HR projects that enhance operational efficiency.
- Previous experience in a similar HR coordination or advisory role.
- Experience working in Government or a complex organisational structure is highly regarded.
- Strong working knowledge (or ability to quickly learn) public sector HR practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive and confident approach to problem-solving and independent work.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
