Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer providing innovative packaging solutions across the food, beverage, and FMCG industries. With continued growth and the setup of a new production department, they are seeking a dedicated OHSQ Officer to help build a solid foundation of safety and quality systems.

The Role

This is a permanent full-time role ideal for someone who is confident working in a hands-on, admin and systems-focused role, with a passion for clear documentation and safe, efficient processes.

You will play a key role in developing processes, procedures, and documentation to support the setup of new production operations. The focus is on implementing structured workflows and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new production processes
• Assist in setting up systems for safety, quality and operational documentation
• Ensure compliance with WHS standards and maintain relevant safety registers
• Coordinate and document risk assessments, safety inductions and toolbox talks
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to formalise workflows and best practices
• Maintain version control and ensure documentation is well-organised and accessible

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) 
• Experience in a production, manufacturing, or FMCG environment, ideally within packaging or food and beverage
• Proven ability to write clear, structured, and user-friendly procedures
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams
