The Role
We are seeking multiple Planning Support Officers
to join our State Government client in Berrinba
and provide essential support for large-scale aerial operations across Queensland. This is a temporary full-time ongoing role until June 2026.
This role is ideal for someone with strong GIS and planning skills who thrives in a busy, detail-focused environment. You will be responsible for preparing maps, managing datasets, and coordinating planning activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The position requires both technical expertise and excellent organisational skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate GIS maps and related information.
- Manage and review large datasets to ensure data integrity.
- Plan and map operational areas, including defining work boundaries.
- Develop and update work instructions and procedures.
- Coordinate workflow and refine processes for efficiency.
- Provide mentoring and training to new team members.
- Prepare and export reports for management.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience with ArcGIS or other GIS software.
- Strong administrative and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
