Experienced Quarry Operators
AWX is proud to partner with a leading quarry operator based in Roseneath, Townsville. We're seeking experienced operators across several key roles for ongoing material extraction and processing work. If you have a civil, coal, or hard rock background we want to hear from you.
Opportunity overview
- Excavator Operator (35T85T) $38.95/hr
- Pugmill Operator $36.73/hr
- Loader Operator (CAT 980, joystick control preferred) $36.33/hr
- Haul Truck Operator (Rigid & Articulated 740T) $35.98/hr
All roles are + penalties and superannuation.
- Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday half-days
- 10-hour days, paid weekly
What You'll Do
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently in active quarry operations
- Assist with material extraction, blending, and site productivity
- Work collaboratively within a small, high-performing team
What You'll Need
- Relevant RII Competencies (per machine operated)
- Minimum 12 months recent experience in a similar environment
- White Card and current driver's licence
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical, including D&A screening
- Strong commitment to safety and reliable attendance
