About the opportunity



AWX is recruiting now for experienced 657 Scraper Operators to support a 44-week mine rehabilitation project at Ensham Mine near Emerald, QLD. Operators will be involved in reshaping landforms, capping spoil areas, and working across approximately 250 hectares of active rehab.

This is a DIDO project, with camp accommodation and meals provided. While ideally suited to those based in Central Queensland, operators from other regions are welcome to apply. The roster starts as 7/7 Day Shift, with a rotating roster to follow.

Camp accommodation, meals, and fatigue management support are provided. Operators can choose between a fixed-term contract with entitlements or a casual arrangement depending on what works for you.

What you'll do



Operate 657 Scrapers as part of a coordinated rehab fleet

Contribute to reshaping landforms, rehab shaping, and safe site finalisation

Conduct pre-starts, maintain clean and hazard-free equipment




What You'll Need (and How to Get Started)



Demonstrated experience operating a 657 Scraper or similar on mine site

RII or signed skills list (within 5 years)

Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain

Valid Australian Drivers Licence

Ability to pass a pre-employment functional (incl. step test)

Clean-shaven for site compliance

AWX will support you through onboarding, inductions, and mobilisation.
