Our client has multiple $500M Road Projects, working on various sites locally in Mackay and covering areas between Ayr, Moranbah, and Marlborough. The remit of these projects will vary from site to site, including road upgrades, broadening of roads, culverts, footpaths, and the like.

As a Vac Truck Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating vacuum trucks to transport liquid and solid waste materials safely and efficiently.
• Performing on-site services, including cleaning tanks, pipelines, and industrial equipment.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety regulations.
• Adhering to all company policies, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Assisting with site setup and teardown, including connecting hoses and other equipment.
• Completing accurate service logs and submitting required documentation after each job.
• Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth job execution.
• Casual fulltime position Monday-Friday with potential for overtime outside of rostered hours
• MUST BE AVAILABLE to work away from home for short periods of time - camp and meals provided including LAFHA allowance

The person we are seeking:

• MUST BE an experienced Vac Operator in civil or roadwork operations
• MR or HR Licence essential
• White Card
• Be able to work with multiple tasks and work well under pressure
• A sense of humour and easygoing manner will go a long way!
