How does it work? We back you in four steps
Recruitment
We advertise, screen, interview and reference check. You meet the top candidates. We help you hire apprentices and hire trainees who fit your culture and the work.
Induction
Contracts, payroll, safety and training enrolments are all sorted before they step foot on site.
Training
Your apprentice or trainee works and completes their qualification at the same time. We will coordinate with the RTO, manage training plans and check in regularly so nothing slips.
Completion
They finish qualified with real experience under their belt. You gain a skilled operator who already knows your site, your standards and your way of working.

Traineeship and Apprenticeship FAQs
What does AWX handle when we take on an apprentice or trainee?
Pretty much everything except the on site supervision. We recruit them, handle the onboarding, sort the training with the RTO, manage payroll, contracts, safety, compliance and all the follow ups. You get the worker, we handle the paperwork and the headaches.
Which industries can employ apprentices or trainees?
If your site’s hands on, we’ve got someone for it, civil, construction, manufacturing, food processing, landscaping, warehousing, logistics, mechanics, admin and more. If the job teaches a skill and needs reliable people, AWX can make it work.
Do apprentices and trainees get support from AWX?
Plenty. Every apprentice or trainee gets an AWX Field Officer who checks in, fixes issues early, keeps the RTO on track and helps them stay focused. It means fewer drop offs and a better shot at them sticking around long term.
What are our responsibilities as the host employer?
Keep them safe, give them a supervisor and let them have the time they need for training. That’s it. We guide you through every requirement so nothing gets missed, and we stay across the compliance so you don’t have to.
How is the training delivered?
Training may be on the job, online, at a training facility or a blend of all three. We work with the RTO to build a plan that fits your workflow.
What happens if the apprentice or trainee isn’t the right fit?
There’s a probation period. If it’s not working out, AWX will help you find a better match.
Can we upskill our existing workers through AWX?
Absolutely. AWX can enrol your current staff into qualifications through our trusted RTO partners.
How long do traineeships and apprenticeships run for?
Traineeships generally run 12–24 months. Apprenticeships usually take 3 - 4 years depending on the qualification.
