AWX are currently seeking multiple experienced Civil Labourers to join a leading infrastructure team based in Nerang.
About the Role
You will be working as part of a Civil Roads crew, supporting maintenance and civil works across the Gold Coast.
This is a great opportunity for skilled labourers with civil experience who are looking for ongoing work with a major infrastructure team.
Key Duties
- General civil and construction labouring
- Assisting with maintenance and infrastructure works
- Manual handling and physical labour
- Working safely around roads and infrastructure
- Potential to take on leadership responsibilities where required
Roster
- Applicants will commence on day shift, with a rotating monthly roster:
- Days: 5:00am - 2:00pm
- Afternoons: 1:30pm - 10:00pm
- Afternoon shift includes on-call availability until 5:00am
- Weekend roster includes Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- On-call availability may be required when not working the weekend shift
What You Need
- MR or HR Licence - Essential
- White Card - Essential
- Current Driver's Licence
- Previous civil/construction experience
- Skilled labouring experience
- Reliable transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Traffic Control qualifications
- Previous leadership or leading hand experience
Pay & Benefits
- $42-$48 per hour + additional penalties and applicable allowances
- 6-month contract, with potential for ongoing work
- Construction allowances applicable
- Penalties and overtime paid where applicable
- Day shift to commence
