About Our Client
AWX is partnering with a leading facilities management provider to recruit multiple cleaners for a busy shopping centre in Rockhampton.
With the busy Christmas and New Year period approaching, we are seeking reliable, hardworking and motivated individuals to join the cleaning team. These positions offer flexible shifts throughout November, December and January, with the potential for ongoing employment beyond the peak period.
Available Roles & Shifts
- Multiple Casual Cleaner positions available
- Approximately 20 - 35 hours per week, depending on operational requirements
- Morning, afternoon and night shifts available
- Weekday and weekend work available
- Flexible rosters to meet the demands of a busy shopping centre
- Ongoing opportunities for suitable candidates
What You'll Do
- Maintain clean, safe and presentable shopping centre facilities, including floors, amenities, food courts and common areas
- Clean and sanitise high-touch surfaces and replenish supplies as required
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with safety procedures
- Safely operate cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, polishers and buffers where required
- Identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and cleaning standards
- Work independently and as part of a team to maintain a welcoming environment for customers
What You'll Need
- Previous commercial cleaning experience highly regarded, particularly in shopping centres or other high-traffic environments
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, polishers and buffers highly desirable
- Understanding of safe cleaning practices, chemical handling and workplace health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends
- Availability throughout November, December and January
- Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to complete pre-employment checks, including a health declaration, police check and reference checks
