About the role:
Qualified Underground Electrician with extensive experience working in mining environments, carrying out installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on underground electrical systems and equipment. Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency, with the ability to work effectively in challenging underground conditions while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
What you'll do:
- High Voltage HVIA switching, relay testing
- Drill rig knowledge Sandvik Epiroc
- Working Underground
- Protection relay testing and fault finding.
- Electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on underground mining equipment.
What you'll Need:
- High Voltage (HV) switching and HVIA experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Sandvik and Epiroc underground drill rigs.
- Previous experience working in an underground mining environment.
- Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of underground electrical safety procedures and site requirements.
- QLD Electrical Licence
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
