AWX is currently seeking reliable and hardworking General Hands / Labourers to join a busy timber manufacturing facility based in Bassendean, producing new timber pallets, wooden boxes and packaging products.
We currently have 2 positions available for an immediate start, with a further 5 positions becoming available in approximately 4 weeks as an additional shift is introduced.
We are particularly looking for flexible candidates who are available to work across both shifts as required.

- 7:00am 3:00pm**

- 10:00am 6:00pm**
- Monday to Friday
- 5 roles available**
- Commencing in approximately 4 weeks
The 10:00am6:00pm shift will operate in addition to the existing 7:00am3:00pm shift. Candidates must have the flexibility and availability to work across both shift times when required.
About the Role
You'll be working as part of a production team manufacturing new timber pallets, wooden boxes and other timber packaging products.
Your duties will include:
* Operating machinery to manufacture and assemble new timber pallets
- Operating timber cutting machinery to cut wood to required sizes
- Manufacturing and assembling wooden boxes and timber packaging
- Measuring and preparing timber for production
- Loading timber into machinery and removing finished products
- Using pneumatic nail guns, hammers, grinders and other hand/power tools
- Assembling timber products to required specifications
- Sorting and stacking timber and finished products
- Quality checking completed products
- Manual handling and lifting up to 20 kg
- General production and labouring duties
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
**No pallet or timber manufacturing experience? No problem!** Training will be provided on the specific machinery, tools and processes used onsite.
We're looking for people who:
- Can work across both the 7:00am3:00pm and 10:00am6:00pm shifts
- Are available to work **full-time hours Monday to Friday**
- Are reliable and have a strong work ethic
- Are physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual work
- Are confident working with machinery and hand/power tools
- Can follow measurements, instructions and safe operating procedures
- Are willing to learn and work as part of a team
- Have a current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Can complete a pre-employment medical, functional assessment and drug & alcohol screen
- Have **unrestricted Australian working rights**
Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, production, timber, construction, labouring or trades would be highly regarded, but direct timber manufacturing experience is not essential.
