We are currently recruiting multiple Permanent Full-Time Mechanical Fitters to join the maintenance team of a leading food manufacturer based in Toowoomba.

You will work on a rotating shift roster across day, afternoon and night shifts, helping maintain plant reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Rotating Shift Schedule:
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am
- Perform preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing and processing equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
- Repair, service and overhaul pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, valves, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Complete scheduled maintenance in line with maintenance plans and site requirements.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and commissioning of new machinery.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to achieve operational targets.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders through the site's maintenance management system.
- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety policies and food manufacturing standards.
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent).
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, processing, packaging or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps and rotating equipment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work rotating day, afternoon and night shifts.
