Labour hire

Labour hire only works when the people fit the job and turn up. That’s what we do.

We work as part of your business. We take time to understand how your site runs, what matters and what can’t go wrong then back it with reliable people from the outset.

Across Australia, we help businesses keep jobs moving by staying close to the work, owning the detail, and stepping in when things change so you’re not carrying the load alone.

Your partner in Australia wide labour hire

We're your partners in people

We partner with businesses who share the same values we do – turn up, do the work, own the result.

Partners On Country is important for businesses working in regional and remote Australia because it really helps connect the local First Nations communities and provide those job opportunities.

How we work with you

Orange number one.

Plan the workforce

Luke and the crew understand your site, scope and timeframes. Roles, numbers, compliance and expectations are mapped early so nothing slows you down.

Orange number two.

Engage On Country

Partners On Country works directly with Traditional Owner groups and local communities before mobilisation. That local engagement shapes how recruitment is done and who’s put forward.

Orange number 3.

Recruit and mobilise

Luke and the crew handle recruitment, screening, medicals, drug and alcohol testing, onboarding and site inductions. Workers arrive site ready, not learning on day one.

Orange number 3.

Support on site

You’ve got a dedicated account manager who stays involved. AWX run regular check ins, toolbox talks and reviews to keep safety, attendance and performance on track.

Orange number 3.

Keep things moving

If something changes, Luke and the crew adjust. Workforce planning, injury management and ongoing support are handled by the AWX and Partners On Country team so your site keeps moving without disruption.

Luke's your go to

He’s been in civil, construction and mining sector for 15+ years – long enough to know what makes a site move and what grinds it to a halt.

Partners on Country and AWX have been instrumental in the success of our Indigenous New to Industry program for the past five years, in addition to providing strong candidates for our experienced roles in mining. They understand our business, the challenging environment of FIFO work and provide us with candidates suited to the roles we have and the culture of our company.

First Nations Recuitment FAQs

  • How is First Nations recruitment different from standard labour hire?

First Nations recruitment starts with the community, not the vacancy. Through Partners On Country, AWX works with local Traditional Owners and communities before roles are filled. That groundwork helps us place people who are right for the job, supported on site and more likely to stay.

  • How do you engage with local communities and Traditional Owners?

Before a project kicks off, AWX and Partners On Country engage with local communities and Traditional Owner groups. Partners On Country brings Indigenous leadership into those conversations, helping us build trust and open doors AWX couldn’t otherwise access. That groundwork is what allows us to find the right first nations people and create opportunities that stick.

  • Are you Supply Nation registered?

Yes. Our sister brand Partners On Country is Supply Nation registered. More importantly, AWX use that framework to support genuine recruitment outcomes, not just compliance. Clients rely on us to deliver on Indigenous employment and procurement strategies in a way that holds up on site.

  • What types of roles do you place First Nations workers into?

AWX place First Nations workers into a wide mix of roles across construction, mining, civil, infrastructure and other sectors. That includes entry level labouring roles, new to industry programs, traineeships, apprenticeships and longer term site roles. The focus is on matching people to work they can grow into, not just filling a spot.

  • Can you support regional and remote projects?

Yes AWX supports regional and remote projects. This is where Partners On Country really matters. For projects in regional and remote Australia, AWX help connect local First Nations communities with local job opportunities. That reduces reliance on fly in labour and creates better outcomes for both the project and the community.

  • Do you offer training or upskilling pathways?

Yes. AWX work with a national network of RTOs to support training at different levels, depending on the role and the individual. AWX sit down with clients and workers, identify skills gaps and map out the training needed. Then AWX help coordinate and support that training from start to finish.

  • How do you support workers once they’re on site?

AWX stay close. Once candidates are on site, AWX don’t disappear. Regular check ins, on site support and early intervention are key to keeping people engaged and projects moving. That ongoing involvement is a big reason our outcomes are stronger than industry averages.

  • Can you help us meet Indigenous employment or procurement targets?

Yes. AWX support clients to meet Indigenous employment and procurement targets in a way that creates value for our clients and first nation communities. That means placing people into the right roles, supporting them properly and building workforce strategies that stand up over time.

  • How do we get started?

It starts with a form submission, that you can submit through the form above.  AWX will get to know your team, business, location and goals, then work with Partners On Country to build a recruitment approach that fits your site, your timelines and the local community
