Our client is a state government vocational education and training provider, recognised as the largest and most experienced in Queensland. They are seeking an experienced AO4 Procurement Officer to join their procurement team on a 2‑month contract.
The role can be based in Brisbane or Toowoomba, supporting end‑to‑end procurement activities across a diverse range of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement in line with Queensland Government purchasing frameworks.
- Conduct supplier research, market analysis, risk assessments, and procurement planning.
- Prepare and manage RFQs and Invitations to Offer, including evaluations and contract drafting.
- Contribute to procurement guidelines, templates, and process improvements.
- Undertake spend analysis and liaise with internal clients to gather procurement needs.
- Support contract management documentation and supplier performance activities.
- Monitor procurement practices for compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Provide timely procurement advice to stakeholders.
- Support the Procurement Team Leader and contribute to team operations.
- Demonstrated government procurement experience (Queensland Government preferred).
- Experience in Significant Procurement Planning.
- Proven experience with Open Market Tenders / Invitations to Offer.
- Strong proficiency with TechnologyOne – Finance Module (essential).
- Desirable: Experience with other TechnologyOne modules, including Contract Management.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
