AWX is partnering with an established, solutions-driven civil construction company delivering specialist construction, engineering and geotechnical services . Our client provides comprehensive project support from concept and design through to construction . Their experienced team is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, cost-effective projects on time. The project is located near Forsayth in the Etheridge Shire , approximately 400 kilometres southwest of Cairns in Queensland's Gulf Savannah region.
Available Roles
We are seeking experienced operators for the following equipment:
- 30-tonne Excavator
- 3-tonne Skid Steer
- 12-tonne Loader
- All-Round Civil Plant Operator
Roster
- Three-week project with the 13th day off, 12-hour shifts
- Immediate start on a short-term dam project
- DIDO from Cairns to the Forsayth region
- Paid travel time and fuel allowance
- Camp accommodation and meals provided
What you'll do
- Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers and other civil plant
- Complete bulk earthworks, site preparation and laydown works
- Assist with civil drainage and general dam construction activities
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Follow all site safety procedures and operational requirements
- Work effectively as part of a safety-focused project team
What you'll need
- Construction White Card
- Relevant RII competencies and plant tickets
- Demonstrated civil construction or bulk earthworks experience
- A minimum of two years' consistent excavator experience for Excavator Operator positions
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts for the project duration
- Physically fit and prepared for outdoor, hands-on work
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
