About our client
AWX is partnering with a well-established civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure, maintenance and development projects across Home Hill, Townsville and the wider North Queensland region.
With a strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork, Our client provides ongoing opportunities for experienced Construction Workers to join a professional and supportive crew working across a variety of civil projects .
What you'll do
As a Construction Worker you'll be involved in a range of hands-on tasks including:
Operating equipment including high-pressure washing systems, hand tools and power tools
Carrying out maintenance activities including washing, painting, spotting and repairs on bridges and major road infrastructure
Working across various environments including heights, above water, confined spaces, live traffic and rail areas
Completing pre-start checks and routine equipment inspections
Following site safety procedures and contributing to a positive team culture
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high-quality workmanship
What you'll need
Construction White Card (essential)
Minimum 12 months' experience in a similar construction, civil, or maintenance role
Current Working at Heights and Confined Spaces tickets (highly regarded)
SARC industry card (highly regarded)
Current C Class Driver's Licence or above and reliable transport
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Physical fitness and the ability to perform outdoor, hands-on work daily
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
