AWX Executive is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join their team.

About the Role As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of heavy diesel equipment to ensure maximum reliability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
- Respond to and rectify breakdowns efficiently to minimise equipment downtime.
- Conduct inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before they become critical.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance and operations teams to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience working on heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, mining machinery, agricultural equipment or related assets.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and service documentation.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (HR Licence highly regarded).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and best practice maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Experience using computerised diagnostic and maintenance management systems.
