We're partnering with a well-established Brisbane residential builder that's looking for an experienced Estimating Manager to take ownership of its estimating function and play a key role in driving project profitability.
This isn't a role where you'll be buried in spreadsheets and left alone. You'll sit at the centre of the business, work closely with senior leadership, influence commercial outcomes, and lead an established estimating team.

The Role
As the Estimating Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the end-to-end estimating function
- Preparing quantity take-offs, BOQs, budgets and cost estimates
- Managing supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Negotiating favourable commercial outcomes
- Maintaining and optimising Databuild systems and pricing databases
- Reviewing plans and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Supporting business-wide commercial decision making
- Mentoring and developing the estimating team
- 5+ years' estimating experience within construction
- Residential building experience highly regarded
- Strong Databuild knowledge and hands-on capability
- Expertise in take-offs, BOQs and budgeting
- Excellent supplier and subcontractor management skills
- Commercial acumen and negotiation ability
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring others
- High attention to detail and an eye for continuous improvement
