AWX are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Overhead Gantry Crane Operators to join a leading precast concrete manufacturing facility based in Yatala.
This is a hands-on role working in a busy production environment, moving large precast concrete products and components throughout the yard and manufacturing areas. We have opportunities available within both production and load-out operations.
$35.93/hr + Penalties | Ongoing Opportunity | Immediate Start
What's on Offer:
- Overtime paid after 8 hours per day or 38 hours per week
- Monday to Friday roster
- 8:00am 4:30pm shifts
- Ongoing work with long-term opportunities

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead gantry cranes to lift and move precast concrete products
- Safely position large concrete tanks, pits, pipes and components throughout the yard
- Load and unload trucks for dispatch
- Work closely with production and yard teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Conduct pre-start checks and safely manage heavy loads
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
What We're Looking For:
- Previous overhead gantry crane experience (essential)
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction materials, precast concrete, transport, steel or heavy industrial environments
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Ability to work around large and heavy products safely
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor production yard
- Reliable, punctual and committed to long-term employment
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
FAQs:
No formal crane ticket is required, however previous experience operating overhead gantry cranes is essential. Operators will be responsible for moving loads throughout production areas and assisting with truck loading activities using cranes ranging from 12T to 20T capacity.
