General Labourer - Gladstone / Yarwun
$33.05 per hour | Monday - Friday | 5:30am - 1:30pm
AWX are seeking a reliable General Labourer
to join our client's team based in Gladstone / Yarwun
.
This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team with a great working environment. We are looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated and takes pride in keeping busy.
This is not a highly physical role and you will not be on your feet all day, however, you must be someone who can look around, identify tasks that need doing, and stay productive without needing constant direction.
About the role:
·Monday to Friday roster
·5:30am - 1:30pm shifts
·$33.05 per hour
·General labouring duties and site support
·Assisting with the recovery, handling and processing of waste oil materials
·Removing oil from electrical coils and components as part of the recycling process
·Mechanical demolition and dismantling of equipment and components
·Use of hand tools and power tools including grinders, drills and impact tools
·Assisting with sorting and preparing materials for recycling
·Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
·Operating telehandler/forklift when required
·Taking initiative and finding tasks to complete during quieter periods
About you:
·Must have your own reliable transport (essential)
·Reliable and punctual
·Strong work ethic and positive attitude
·Able to work independently and as part of a team
·Comfortable working in a role where you need to stay productive and find tasks to complete
·Previous experience in a waste, recycling, industrial or labouring environment preferred
·Experience working with oil, electrical components or mechanical dismantling advantageous
·Confident using hand tools and power tools
·Strong focus on safety and environmental practices
·Current Telehandler and Forklift tickets/licences highly advantageous
·Previous experience operating a telehandler and forklift preferred

After successfully completing a trial period, the successful candidate will be required to show their interest in the role by completing and paying for their own medical assessment.
