About the Role:
AWX are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client based in Marrickville. This is an ongoing opportunity for a skilled fitter with strong mechanical maintenance and TIG welding experience. We are seeking candidates who has worked in Food/ Beverage/ Pharmaceutical industries (GMP Knowledge).
The role requires you to work Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm with flexibility required for OT and weekend work. There is also a requirement to work at the Revesby site. Both sites are planned to relocate to Yennora in mid 2027.
What You'll Do:
• Mechanical fitting, maintenance and repairs (Preventative and breakdown)
• Machining parts and TIG Welding
• Upgrading machinery
• Fault finding, Tag and test
• Reading mechanical drawings
• Using hand and power tools
• Following all WHS and site procedures
What You'll Need:
• Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification and experience
• Electrical Disconnect/ Reconnect Ticket
• Food/ Pharma manufacturing experience
• Experience working in confined spaces and at heights
• TIG welding experience is essential
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Reliable and safety-focused attitude
• Flexibility for overtime and weekend work
• Ability to work at Marrickville and Revesby as required
