AWX is partnering with a leading Western Australian-owned automotive parts distributor to recruit experienced Pick Packers for on-call casual shifts at their busy warehouse operation. With an extensive product range and fast-moving distribution environment, this is a great opportunity to pick up flexible work with a well-established and growing WA business.
About the Role
This is an on-call position we need reliable people available to come in on short notice when additional staffing is required or when a team member calls in sick. Shifts run Monday to Friday, with start times from 6:00am. You won't always be called, but when you are, we need you ready to go.
We welcome applications from students, provided you are available to work up to 24 hours per week.
You'll be working in a high-volume warehouse/distribution centre picking and packing automotive parts to fulfil trade orders across WA. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role that requires a high level of accuracy and a strong work ethic.
● Order picking of automotive parts using RF scanning technology
● Packing and preparing orders for dispatch
● Heavy lifting involved (up to and above 25kg)
● Maintaining a high pick rate with a strong focus on accuracy
● Working efficiently as part of a team to meet daily targets
Shift Details
● On-call casual Monday to Friday only
● Available to start from 6:00am on short notice
● Hours vary depending on operational demand
● Students welcome availability of up to 24 hours per week considered
What We're Looking For
● RF scanning experience is essential applications without this will not be considered
● Previous pick packing or order picking experience in a warehouse environment
● Ability to handle heavy lifting consistently throughout your shift
● High level of pick accuracy with strong attention to detail
● Flexibility and reliability when we call, we need you available
● Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
● Ability to work at pace in a fast-moving environment
