We are seeking a Production Planner for our client site based in Heathwood.
Working within a global food manufacturing company, the Production Planner will ensure products are ready to distribute to customers in a timely manner, whilst improving the company's production and distribution processes.
The role will ensure goods are manufactured and produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications.
This is a casual position that is expected to cover a 9-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Production to understand needs and prioritise operations ensuring maximum performance and minimum delay
- Schedule the daily Production plan (with Production sequence) for the processing and packaging lines based on the Master Production Schedule
- Secure that the required primal is available in the primal warehouse (from maturation stock, decanted if needed)
- Track Productions progress
- Check availability of raw materials for next day plan
- Check retail stock levels (shelf life) and action arising issues
- Drive continuous improvement in the performance of Production to meet demand.
- Raise and execute inter-site Stock Transfer Orders to meet required demands from other sites
About You:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Production planning, materials procurement or supply chain (ideally within a FMCG environment)
- Exceptional numerical and data analytical skills, competent in using advanced planning systems (preferably SAP & Excel)
- Available to work across a 7 day roster (weekends included)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
