With over 100 years in the business and backed by an iconic Australian brand, our client is a leading supplier and manufacturer of specialised equipment to the mining industry. AWX Mackay are looking for a switched on, energetic Manufacturing Technician to join a busy and professional crew.
What's the Position?
• Assemble, manufacture, and test safety equipment for mining and corporate clients
• Cutting of wire rope, slings, and chains, and other products
• Operating the press, chain sling assembly, coiling machine and bulk winder
• Splicing rope into high risk safety equipment
• Correct use of Testing procedures and reporting any issues or faults
What's Required?
• 6 months with similar experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Proven stock handling experience
• Fit and healthy - some heavy lifting
• An active, respectful and reliable approach to work
• An ability to understand, correctly interpret and follow instructions and procedures.
