AWX is currently seeking trade-qualified Boilermakers and highly experienced MIG Welders for immediate starts with leading fabrication workshops in the Yatala region.
These aren't entry-level positions. We're looking for tradespeople who can confidently step into a workshop environment, interpret complex fabrication drawings, understand engineering schematics, and work with minimal supervision to produce high-quality structural steel components.
If you've recently completed your qualification and are still developing your trade skills, this role may not be suitable. Our clients require experienced tradespeople who can hit the ground running.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Fabricating and welding structural steel components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and fabrication plans
- Measuring, marking, cutting, assembling, and repairing metal products
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality control
- Working safely within a fast-paced production environment
- Collaborating with experienced workshop teams to meet project deadlines
What We're Looking For:
- Trade qualification in Welder
- Strong MIG welding experience within a fabrication environment
- Proven ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Experience fabricating directly from workshop drawings without constant supervision
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable transport and current driver's licence
