We are partnering with a well-established commercial roofing contractor that has secured a significant portfolio of upcoming work and is continuing to expand across South East Queensland. Due to confirmed project commitments, we are seeking a hands-on Roofing Supervisor to lead site operations and deliver high-quality outcomes.
While this position will be Brisbane-based long term, the successful candidate will initially support projects in Hervey Bay for approximately 6 - 8 weeks before transitioning into Brisbane and surrounding regional projects.
You will lead commercial roofing projects, supervise crews and subcontractors, and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard. We are looking for a hands-on supervisor who enjoys leading from the front and isn't afraid to jump in and support the team when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractor roofing crews on site.
- Ensure roofing works are completed in accordance with Australian Standards, manufacturer specifications, Building Code requirements, and project quality expectations.
- Maintain a strong focus on waterproofing integrity and workmanship quality.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and identify defects before project completion.
- Monitor project progress against programme and proactively address delays.
- Manage site safety requirements and ensure compliance with WHS obligations.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
- Maintain accurate project records and site documentation.
- Operate independently while contributing to overall project success.
- Proven experience supervising commercial roofing projects.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Sound understanding of commercial roofing systems and installation practices.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Current White Card.
- Current Driver Licence.
