Reporting to the Compliance & HSEQ Manager, you will provide hands-on support to project teams and contractors through the implementation and maintenance of HSEQ systems while promoting a positive and proactive safety culture across site operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting site inspections and HSEQ audits
- Supporting implementation of HSEQ systems and initiatives
- Driving risk management activities across projects
- Facilitating HSEQ meetings and consultations
- Monitoring contractor compliance and safe work practices
- Investigating hazards and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Supporting safety training and education initiatives
- Maintaining HSEQ documentation and records
- Assisting project teams with compliance requirements
- Promoting continuous improvement across safety, quality and environmental systems
You are a safety professional who enjoys being present on-site, building strong relationships and positively influencing behaviours.
You understand that the best safety outcomes come from collaboration, communication and leading by example.
To be successful, you will have:
- 5+ years' experience within a construction HSEQ or site-based environment
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Knowledge of HSEQ management systems and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation capability
- The ability to coach, influence and support project teams
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
