An established national business is seeking a driven and commercially focused Sales Executive to manage and grow a defined sales territory.
This role is ideal for a self‑motivated sales professional who enjoys being on the road, building strong customer relationships and delivering results. You’ll inherit an existing portfolio of accounts while also being responsible for new business development and pipeline growth.
You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy and play a key role in driving revenue, profitability and customer retention within your territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service a portfolio of existing customers, including major accounts
- Maintain a structured cycle of customer contact and account management
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through new products, rate increases and proactive solutions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships to minimise churn and maximise account value
- Proactively identify, target and win new customer accounts
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline aligned to business strategy
- Accurately record and manage customer, sales and activity data in the CRM system
- Prepare and analyse sales and financial reports aligned to territory performance
- Manage sales activity, costs and performance in line with agreed budgets and KPIs
- Spend the majority of time in market, actively engaging customers (4–5 days per week)
- Proven sales experience with a strong ability to close deals
- Commercially astute, with an understanding of revenue, margins and sales reporting
- Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Highly organised with strong territory and time management capability
- Proactive, self‑motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Customer‑centric, relationship‑driven and solution‑focused
- Strategic thinker with a new business development mindset
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the territory
- Autonomous, field‑based sales role with responsibility for your own territory
- Mix of existing account management and new business acquisition
