AWX Executive Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established industrial operation to secure an experienced Site Maintenance Fitter for a permanent, depot‑based role. This is a hands‑on position suited to a proactive trade professional who enjoys ownership of site maintenance, safety, and reliability.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will take control of preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and contractor management, ensuring equipment uptime, safety compliance, and cost efficiency. You’ll work closely with operational leaders across shifts to maximise productivity and plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance across site assets
- Minimise equipment downtime and manage maintenance spend and spare parts
- Supervise and coordinate external maintenance contractors
- Ensure all safety systems, permits, and risk assessments are completed
- Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance reporting
- Lead by example, fostering a strong safety-first and team-focused culture
- Support continuous improvement in plant efficiency and reliability
- Trade qualified Fitter & Turner
- Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience
- Disconnect & reconnect electrical licence
- Experience with chain-driven conveyors
- Proven hands-on leadership experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Solid computer literacy and reporting capability
- A motivated, improvement-focused mindset with high safety standards
